I recently discovered Melissa Plastic Dreams, a Brazilian shoe company that makes stylish plastic shoes out of sustainably harvested rubber. The shoes are not only cute and trendy with lots of color choices, they are also soft and comfortable to wear because each shoe is made from a single piece of plastic. These amazing footwear are weather proof too, which make them the most perfect shoes for summer!
Unfortunately, Melissa’s online store currently only caters to the Brazilian market. However, I found Epaulet, a Brooklyn-based clothing store, which carries a selection of Melissa plastic shoes online. I have my eyes set on a couple of pairs for summer.
i have a couple pairs of these and LOVE them! the bottom left pair are like grown-up gellies– perfect for the beach or a drizzly day with a cute dress

just a warning– i bought them from epaulet (in brooklyn, not online) and had to try on a bunch of pairs to get the right size– certain styles run big while others run small, so i’d be afraid to order them online without a good return policy.

the shoes are usualy bigger, so I would go for a smaller size!
