Hi there! I went on Brooklyn 5+10′s website, and after searching through a good a lot of products, I found two that I really like.

It is too cute! My sister recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Catherine, and as I am her babysitter and only aunt, I have had a lot of time to play with her. Our little princess would love that, and I’m actually thinking about buying it for her anyway.
The second item I like is one of the “Candy Glam” rings – the “Black Cube” one. I love it! I am very much in love with accessories – and who doesn’t look good in black, really?
I would really love to win this necklace. It’s so beautiful! As of Thursday, the 27th, I will officially be a college freshman – meaning I will be very, very broke!

I don’t normally enter competitions, but this is such a striking and beautiful necklace that I had to!
The B5+10 turns out to be full of things that took my fancy! It’s rare to find a site with really unusual and interesting stuff, but which isn’t horribly expensive.
I particularly love the Kahn Selesnick House of Cards. I think I’ll have to frame them, because I like the artwork so much, but it would be great to have a pack to play with, too. Though I like to support interesting, original artists, it’s very seldom that I can afford to, so I’m thrilled to be able to buy something from this artists project (particularly one working on economic and environmental sustainability).
The Stormy Seas paper animation by Walter Ruffler is also wonderful. It’s lovely, and whimsical, and it’ll make a perfect present for my niece. She lives right on the other side of the world, and I only get to see her once a year at most, so I try to find things for her that she’ll love, and that will hopefully remind her of her loving aunty.
Why do I deserve to win? Oh, it’s so hard to answer that without sounding horribly self-satisfied – but I can say that I’d be utterly overjoyed to win that necklace! It’s very much my style, and I think it would go brilliantly with a black cloche hat my gran gave me many years ago.

I love the Soopsori Ecowooden Elephant/Giraffe with Cart and Dominoes and the Batucada necklaces.

Naturally occurring scenery and clever, eco-friendly products trump human-made industrial sites and toxic, harmful products any day of the week. Lush, overflowing gardens filled with vibrant greenery, bursting with life and colour are amongst the most beautiful things we can help to cultivate and grow.
I am enthralled with the Brooklyn5and10 website, because the creators of these products really get that the most beautiful things in the world come from straight from our earth. I love that many Brooklyn5and10 offerings are made from beautiful, naturally occurring materials (like plants) and earth friendly materials (like eco-plastic materials). Any website/company that takes steps to reduce their carbon footprint and promote eco-friendly living is 100% worth supporting in my eyes.
I would be proud to wear a Batucada necklace (especially the “Hawaii” style, which is wonderfully different) because I feel that I live my life entirely in a way that coincides with what Brooklyn5and10 represents. I am constantly trying to find ways to reduce my carbon footprint, by being personally responsible, and by organizing fundraisers, events and rallies to help spread awareness about things the average person can do to save our planet (buy from eco-friendly companies, for one!!)In this way, not only would the necklace suit me, but I would suit it as well. (Not to mention that since the necklaces are stunning pieces of jewellery, I’d be asked constantly where I got it constantly and would have more of an excuse to talk about issues that are important, and to re-direct people to the Brooklyn5and10 website!)

I especially love the Batucada Jewels on the Skin—”Petals” Necklace in silver. That would be the perfect necklace for my upcoming wedding day, and for many years after. It fits perfectly with my simple, earthy, theme (we are celebrating our wedding reception at a wildflower center). I really love the natural feel of the necklace.
