Chocolatexture

What better way to jumpstart the new year than with a uberly cool chocolate creation! That’s exactly what Japanese designer Nendo has done at the recent Maison & Objet design show, which has earned them the “Designer of the Year” award in Paris last month.

Chocolatexture is a tray of dark chocolate that features nine extraordinary shapes and textures. Each of the nine chocolate is named after a Japanese expression that describes its shape or texture.

Some of my favorite chocolate design include “toge-toge” with its crown-like pointed tips, “goro-goro” (which is made from fourteen smaller cubes), and “poki-poki”, which has a simple but stylish skeletal cube frame.
