Imagine receiving an invitation to attend the hanging of a couple. Sounds brutal? Apparently not to those in Greece.
Interestingly enough, the word “hang” in the Greek language is another word for “marry”, so that to “hang a couple” means to unite them in the bond of marriage. I’m intrigued how Greek designer Chris Trivizas made imaginative use of this cultural fact to create a whimsical wedding invitation that features a miniature heart-shaped noose, complete with instructions on how to tie a slip knot. Everything is stylishly packaged in a box beautifully illustrated by Nadia Louka, resulting in a wedding invite that will truly make a lasting impression on its recipients.
