I would like to share with you the amazing paper creations of Irving Harper, which is part of Herman Miller’s Why Design series. Irving Harper is one of the most prolific designers who helped shape American Modernism. You may not have heard his name, but I’m sure you’ve seen his iconic designs, such as the Marshmallow sofa and the Ball clock. (more…)

Glitter, sequins and fun prints dominate Allison Wonderland’s Fall/Winter 2012. The collection is an ode to the 1960s with a sophisticated feel, featuring feminine blouses and dresses with a hippy vibe. See the entire collection here.

Joanna Henderson is a London-based interior and still life photographer, whose gorgeous works I recently discovered. She has a magical way of making a simple interior shot extraordinary. I’m especially drawn to her still life pictures, and the beautiful details she had captured. Check out more of her inspiring portfolio here.

The animal print style may be here to stay. It has been sighted on the runway for many seasons now. If like me, you’ve been resisting this trend, you may wish to jump on the “band-wagon” now by starting small. Plus, if this helps at all, animal prints have been around since my grandmother’s time. (A note of caution, don’t attempt to wear MORE THAN ONE animal print item at one time.)

The latest lamp shades collection is the collaboration of Toronto designer Lia Fagan of Mod Pieces, and textile designer Avril Loreti. Each one-of-a-kind, limited edition lamp shade features a unique print/pattern designed by Avril, and is beautifully crafted by Lia using new and reclaimed materials. Check out the entire collection here.

Psst! Have you seen the latest Arcos FW 2012/13 by Stone and Honey? The back-to-basics collection has a beautiful focus on natural shapes and textures. Think of sculptural brass and linen thread, yes, the two timeless materials that I’ve always loved in my jewelry pieces. I’m loving the bracelets and necklaces with indigo thread, which you can probably tell from the selection above…. View the lookbook, and check out the entire range here.
